X (formerly Twitter), which has been working on new features, may soon be getting a new immersive video experience on the platform. Billionaire Elon Musk, taking to X, has said that users will soon be able to swipe up for the next video. However, no other details about the upcoming feature have been mentioned as of now.
Elon Musk first hinted about the feature on August 6 in a post, where he said, Immersive video on this platform is starting to get pretty good. Just tap on any video & swipe up when you want to move on.”
According to the reports, it will bring a simple approach wherein users can tap on any video to engage with the content and swipe when they are done with the video.
In the meantime, Musk has unveiled a Live video functionality, along with the option to conceal the Blue tick. He chose X as the platform to communicate this recent enhancement to users, mentioning, "The Live video function is now functioning quite effectively. Simply tap on the button resembling a camera when making a post."
Additionally, a new feature that will let subscribers highlight specific posts via a new "Highlights" tab has already begun to roll out. According to TechCrunch, the microblogging network modified it's About X Premium website to incorporate information about the highlights feature.
X recently introduced a 'Highlights' tab, gradually making it available to select customers over the past few days. As per the updated support page of the company, this feature is now accessible to all users with paid accounts. The platform faced a challenge in accommodating a considerable amount of tweet information. This is in addition to the existing capability that enables users to pin a specific tweet to their profiles, ensuring that it's the first thing visitors see.
