YouTube, a popular video streaming platform, which has been working on new add-ons to improve the user interface for the watchers, has now announced that it will be making some changes to the channel page. The company has announced that it will be improving the channel page layout with some new features, tabs and more.
Taking to a blog post, the company announced that it would be making some changes to the 'About' and 'Channels' tab to improve the look and feel of the channel page. Along with that, the company will also make some technical changes that will not show the Playlists tab in cases where the tabs do not have any content.
"We're beginning to test changes to creator channel pages in which tabs like 'Playlists' aren't displayed when those tabs have no content," the company said on its test experiment page. "
We're also testing easier access to information from the 'About' and 'Channels' tabs by redesigning the channel page," it added.
As per the reports, the company is currently testing the new feature with a limited number of users and it may soon be offered to the public with future updates.
The YouTube platform has been developing a 2x speed option that would enable users to view videos at 2x without any difficulty. According to the functionality, users will be able to long press anywhere on the player and the movie will automatically speed up to 2x.
The business also revealed an experimental tool that offers consumers larger previews while they search. As it makes it simpler for consumers to locate the precise point in the video that they want to watch, this feature will be useful.
The business also experimented with a lock screen feature that let users on iOS and Android devices turn off touch interaction while watching a video. The video-sharing website has previously revealed that it was experimenting with automatically created summaries powered by artificial intelligence (AI).

Users will find it simpler to assess whether a video is a good fit for them after reading a brief overview thanks to this feature. The business emphasised that these summaries do not take the place of creator-written video descriptions.
