Kamareddy News: Four members of a family, including two children, were killed in a road accident after a tipper lorry collided head-on with an electric two-wheeler at Jangampally in Kamareddy district on Wednesday afternoon.

Police identified the victims as 50-year-old Stephen, his 28-year-old daughter, and two grandchildren aged four and two.

The crash occurred around 1 PM when the family was travelling from Kamareddy to Bhiknoor. According to Kamareddy Rural Inspector Raman, the lorry driver was reportedly driving on the wrong side and hit the two-wheeler at high speed.

Police have detained the driver and sent the bodies for postmortem examination. A case has been registered and further investigation is under way.

In separate news, tension gripped KPHB Colony’s Road No. 5 on Tuesday night after a violent clash broke out between hostel residents and a local family. Police said the fight started over a long-standing parking dispute, with the family objecting to hostel occupants leaving their bikes in front of their house.

Despite repeated complaints, the hostel management reportedly failed to intervene. The situation escalated when one of the bike seat covers was found damaged, leading around 30 hostel residents to allegedly attack the family, including a woman.

Local residents gathered at the scene as the situation turned chaotic. Police from KPHB Station arrived soon after and brought the situation under control. A case has been registered, and an investigation is under way to identify and arrest those involved.
