Hyderabad News: A protest broke out outside St Anne’s School in Kushaiguda, Hyderabad, with locals demanding its immediate closure. The protest, led by Uppal MLA Bandari Lakshma Reddy and members of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi Vidyarthi (BRSV), alleged that the school has been operating without valid CBSE affiliation.
According to a Siasat report, Protesters accused the school of misleading parents by falsely presenting itself as a CBSE-recognised institution. They claimed the management used unauthorised variations of the school name — “St. Ann’s” and “St. Anne’s” — to appear legitimate and attract admissions.
Speaking at the protest, MLA Reddy questioned how the school could run in the name of CBSE without receiving formal approval from the board. He demanded strict action from authorities and legal proceedings against the management for misrepresentation and regulatory violations.
The BRSV warned that if no action is taken, the agitation will be intensified. They also called for the school premises to be seized immediately to prevent further operations.
So far, local education officials have not issued an official response. However, protestors have declared they will continue their demonstrations until the school is permanently shut down.
In separate news, International flight services at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) faced major disruptions on June 23 and 24, 2025, due to airspace closures in Qatar following an Iranian missile strike on US bases there. Over two days, at least 18 flights—nine departures and nine arrivals—were cancelled.
Affected outbound flights included those to Doha, Jeddah, Dammam, Muscat, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, and Dubai. Incoming flights from cities like Doha, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Abu Dhabi were also called off. The disruptions impacted major carriers including IndiGo and Kuwait Airways. On Tuesday, Qatar Airways announced the resumption of operations after the airspace reopened.
