Hyderabad Water Cut October 13, 14: Several areas in Hyderabad will face a 36-hour drinking water supply disruption from 6 AM on October 13 to 6 PM on October 14, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) announced.

The temporary shutdown is necessary to carry out major repair works on a 2375 mm diameter pipeline between Kodandapur and Godakondla as part of the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Project (Phase-III).

Hyderabad Water Cut Affected Areas

According to the HMWSSB, water supply will be affected in the following areas:

- Gachibowli

- Kondapur

- Madhapur

- Jubilee Hills

- Mehdipatnam

- Golconda

- Langer Houz

- Bandlaguda

- Rajendranagar

- Vanasthalipuram

- Uppal

- Boduppal and nearby localities

Residents in these areas are advised to store adequate water in advance and use it carefully during the maintenance period. The water board also assured that supply will be restored immediately after completion of the repair work.

In separate news, a 19-year-old student from Hyderabad allegedly died by suicide on Thursday after facing harassment from her college volleyball coach. The victim, identified as Moulika, was a second-year student at Railway Degree College in Tarnaka. According to her father’s complaint, the coach, Ambaji Naik, had been pressuring her to enter into a relationship.

Police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the matter. Officials confirmed that no suicide note or video has been recovered so far. The Station House Officer of Lalaguda stated that Moulika had not informed her family about any harassment, but her friends reportedly told police that she was being troubled by the coach. Two special teams have been formed to look into the case, and authorities are verifying all claims and evidence related to the alleged harassment.
