Telangana Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday stated that several districts of Telangana are likely to witness light to heavy rain for the next few days. The weather department stated that several districts are set to receive thunderstorms and gusty winds along with heavy rain. It further stated that the continuous rainfall is likely to affect daily lives and is also expected to lead to issues like waterlogging and power outages in several districts. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts of Telangana, including Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal, and Mulugu, are set to witness heavy rainfall till October 15.

Apart from the heavy rainfall, these districts are also set to witness strong surface winds, leading to inconveniences. The weather department has advised the administration and municipal bodies to take necessary steps to avoid flood-like situations and other issues.

Rain is expected in THESE districts:

October 10-12: The southern districts of the state are set to witness moderate to heavy rainfall for most parts of the days.

October 13-15: The IMD stated that several districts, including Mulugu, Khammam, and Mahabubabad, are expected to witness heavy rainfall.

October 16-17: The urban areas are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall. The residents of these regions are also likely to witness gentle breezes and cloudy skies.

The IMD has also suggested the farmers follow the guidelines and protect the harvested produce to avoid inconveniences. The department also advised them to delay the application of pesticides to ensure maximum productivity. Apart from Telangana, several other states, including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, and Gujarat, are also likely to witness light to heavy rain in the upcoming days.
