Erratic Rain Pattern In Hyderabad

For the past week, Hyderabad’s weather has remained highly unpredictable, with scattered and localised rainfall. On Tuesday, parts of the Old City witnessed heavy downpours within a short span, while nearby localities remained completely dry.

Several core areas experienced brief spells of light to moderate rain, which led to traffic congestion across main routes. Meanwhile, many neighbourhoods in the eastern and western zones of the city saw little to no rainfall.

Hyderabad Humidity And Traffic Impact

Experts have linked the erratic rainfall to high humidity levels, which have stayed between 80 and 85 percent in recent days. The moisture-heavy air has been triggering sudden and uneven showers across the city.

Meanwhile, waterlogging has been reported near Panjagutta Graveyard, slowing vehicle movement. Traffic police have advised commuters to use alternate routes as congestion has been noted near Ayodhya, Nirankari, and VV Statue.

The Cyberabad Traffic Police has also warned of moderate to heavy rain till 6 PM in areas like Shaikpet, Rajendranagar, Nanakramguda and Golconda.
