Hyderabad News: A 28-year-old woman, identified as Keerthika Agarwal, a Chartered Accountant, allegedly ended her life along with her young daughter by jumping into Hussain Sagar Lake.

According to the Lake Police, Keerthika and her daughter had been reported missing earlier, and a case was registered at the Bahadurpura Police Station. On November 2, police recovered the body of a woman from the lake, who was later identified as Keerthika.

During the investigation, officers found that she may have taken the extreme step due to marital issues. The body of her missing daughter was also recovered later from the lake.

The Lake Police have registered a case and launched a detailed investigation into the incident.

In separate news, Telangana Police arrested 10 people, including a woman, for allegedly kidnapping her husband and demanding a Rs 1 crore ransom. The main accused, M. Madhavi Latha, reportedly plotted the abduction of her husband, Mantri Shyam, with the help of Vundy Durga Vinay, Katta Durga Prasad, and others.

Police said Latha intended to seize Shyam’s property by forcing him to sign documents before eliminating him. Shyam was kidnapped on October 29 and taken to Vijayawada, but he escaped on October 31 and informed police. Investigation revealed the gang used multiple vehicles and monitored him from a rented flat in DD Colony. Police have seized three cars, two bikes, and several phones. A case has been registered at Amberpet Police Station, and further investigation is ongoing.
