After Bishnoi’s arrest in Jagdalpur, Odisha, Naik seized the opportunity to strike a direct deal with Sridhar to purchase 400 kilograms of ganja at Rs 2,000 per kilogram. He then planned to sell it to Ashu in Bikaner at Rs 4,000 per kilogram. For the transport, Naik roped in Pushkar Raj Naik, Kishan Lal Nayak, and Parameshwar.
The contraband was subsequently loaded onto a van, hidden beneath coconuts, and set for transport to Rajasthan. Naik and Pushkar escorted the van, which was driven by Kishan Lal Nayak, in their own car. While travelling along the Vijayawada Highway near Abdullapurmet X Road, a joint team from the Rachakonda Narcotics Police Station and the RNCC Khammam Wing intercepted both vehicles, apprehending Chotu Narayana Lal Naik and Kishan Lal Nayak.
