Hyderabad Weather: Residents of Telangana should prepare for rain and thunderstorms as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad has predicted unsettled weather over the weekend. The department has issued a yellow alert for several districts, warning of heavy downpours, lightning and squalls in the coming days.

Hyderabad Forecast

According to IMD, Hyderabad will experience a mix of dry and humid conditions during the daytime on Saturday, with temperatures peaking around 32 degrees Celsius. However, by late afternoon, cloud activity is expected to increase. Thunderstorms with heavy showers are likely to develop in the evening and continue overnight, providing relief from the heat. Some areas may record significant rainfall.

Telangana Weather Forecast

The yellow alert applies to most districts of Telangana for the next three days. Officials said thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are expected in multiple regions. Strong winds may also occur in some pockets.

Weather enthusiast T. Balaji, known for his forecasts, supported the IMD’s outlook, stating that scattered rains are likely from Saturday evening.

Telangana Drop In Temperatures

The expected rains are likely to bring down temperatures across the state. On Friday, a dip was already observed, with Nagarkurnool recording the lowest maximum temperature at 28.6 degrees Celsius. In Hyderabad, Bandlaguda registered 30.7 degrees Celsius as the highest.

Advisory For Residents

With thunderstorms predicted, IMD has advised residents to remain cautious, particularly during evening hours. Commuters are urged to plan travel in advance as rain and lightning may disrupt movement in parts of the city.

The forecast signals the return of monsoon activity in Telangana, with wet evenings expected to dominate over the weekend.
