Telangana Weather Update: A thunderstorm alert was issued for 17 districts in Telangana on Monday, September 30, by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). IMD's daily bulletin states that there is a high probability of thunderstorms over isolated areas in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nalgonda, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Jangaon, Siddipet, Rangareddy, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Mahabubnagar, and Nagarkurnool districts.
For the next twenty-four hours, Hyderabad and the nearby areas will witness a typically cloudy sky.
“Light to moderate rain or thunderstorms accompanied with gusty winds are very likely to occur in the city during evening or night. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 33 and 23 degrees respectively,” according to the bulletin.
On Sunday, there were mild to moderate showers in several areas of the state. The Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS) reports that as of Sunday at 7 PM, Kistareddypet in the Sangareddy district had recorded 59.8 mm of rainfall. Padra (Nagarkurnool) recorded 49 mm, Ramachandrapuram (Sangareddy) recorded 44.5 mm, and Jainad (Adilabad) recorded 36.3 mm.

Hyderabad Weather
After sporadic rains during the day, areas of Hyderabad saw sunshine and heat, but the city's weather took a dramatic shift on Sunday evening. The unexpected rain ruined many people's weekend plans. Fortunately, as it was Sunday, the deluge did not cause major traffic difficulties around the city.
The maximum rainfall, 56.3 mm, was reported in Ramachandrapuram, followed by Jubilee Hills with 35 mm, Gachibowli with 33.8 mm, Chanda Nagar with 33 mm, Karvan and Miyapur with 27.3 mm, Shaikpet with 24.5 mm, and Serilingampally with 18.8 mm, according to TGDPS data.
