A Minecraft Movie: Jack Black starrer American fantasy adventure comedy movie is currently running at the theatre worldwide. The movie has been breaking several records but along with it Jack Black has also created a history with his unique skill. His song Steve’s Lava Chicken from A Minecraft Movie became the shortest song to enter the UK’s Official Singles Chart. Notably, the song is 34 seconds long and currently ranks at 21 in the list from number 77 during its debut. Steve’s Lava Chicken also surpassed the previous record of the shortest song by Jonny Trunk and Duncan Wisbey’s The Ladies’ Bras. It was a 37-second-long song which ranked 27th in 2007. 

While speaking about the achievements, Jack Black said “I just heard that Steve’s Lava Chicken has cracked the UK Top 40. I want to send big love to all the Minecraft fans for getting us up there – it’s insane! Love you!”

Jason Momoa and Jack Black starrer American fantasy adventure comedy movie hit the silver screens on April 4, 2025. The film is about four misfits, who are taken into a bizarre cubic wonderland that thrives in an imaginary world. They have to master the art to live in this cubic wonderland if they want to get back home. The movie stars Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Emma Myers, Jennifer Coolidge, Sebastian Eugene Hansen and Danielle Brooks in key roles. It has been directed by Jared Hess and produced by Jason Momoa, Vu Bui, Torfi Frans Ólafsson, Jill Messick, Mary Parent, Roy Lee, Jon Berg, Cale Boyter. 

Coming to its box office performance, A Minecraft Movie has been performing moderately well. The movie has seen a jump of one million from the previous day to the 13th day of release at the US box office. On the other hand, the movie is unstoppable at the global ticket windows as it is marching towards 580 million. 

A Minecraft Movie Worldwide Collection Day 14

As reported by Box Office Mojo, the film earned USD 6,529,347 on Day 14 and had a total domestic collection of USD 303,326,515. The international collection of A Minecraft Movie stands at USD 273,800,000 and the worldwide collection of USD 577,126,515.
