Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow were one of the most iconic couples of Hollywood. The duo met on the sets of Se7en in 1994 and instantly felt the connection. They were often spotted together gracing the red carpets, and once, the F1 star also called Gwyneth Paltrow his ‘angel’ and ‘the love of his life’ during the Golden Globes acceptance speech. The duo’s engagement was finalised in the same year. However, the promise of forever didn’t last for them as they soon called off their wedding.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s biography titled ‘Gwyneth: The Biography’, written by author Amy Odell, gives insight into the actress’s life, career, and delves into personal moments like her relationship with Brad Pitt as well. The biography is set to be released on July 29, 2025. In the book, the author reveals that the actress allegedly admitted to her friend that she was upset that Brad Pitt had tied the knot with Jennifer Aniston and also went on to call him a “sack of s***.”
Amy Odell also mentioned Gwyneth’s point of view about Brad’s background and wrote, "He was brought up very religious, in Missouri. It's just a very different world from hers, growing up in Manhattan, going to Spence. I think she thought he wasn't sophisticated enough for her. She thought she was smarter, better educated, and more sophisticated.”

After breaking Gwyneth Paltrow’s heart, Brad Pitt soon started dating actress Jennifer Aniston. The couple got engaged in 1999 and married a year later. But soon, their love story also reached its dead end as the couple headed for divorce after five years. During their period of marriage, actress Gwyneth was asked during an interview about her feelings on the same and the actress replied, “Are you really asking me this question? I can’t comment on this kind of thing.”
However, an excerpt from the book reads, “In reality, Gwyneth confided to friends that she’d felt sad when she learned they were getting married. (She was also fond of telling them that Brad 'has terrible taste in women')."
On the work front, Gwyneth Paltrow can be seen in the upcoming A24 movie Marty Supreme, according to IMDb, scheduled for release in late 2025. On the other hand, actor Brad Pitt recently sent a wave of excitement among his fans after the release of his sports drama movie F1.
