Heart of Stone Twitter Review: The highly anticipated Netflix movie 'Heart of Stone' has been released on the streaming platform. Featuring Gal Gadot, Alia Bhatt, and Jamie Dornan, the film also serves as Bhatt's debut in Hollywood. With the movie now available on OTT, reviews from both critics and viewers have surfaced on social media platforms.

Directed by Tom Harper, 'Heart of Stone' tells the story of an intelligence operative named Rachel Stone, portrayed by Gal Gadot. The plot revolves around Rachel's mission to thwart a hacker named Keya Dhawan, played by Alia Bhatt, who aims to steal a highly dangerous and valuable weapon.

Taking to the microblogging site, X, formerly known as Twitter, a user wrote, "Heart of Stone is a lifeless spy movie clone that is destined to become background viewing."

Another remarked, "Its set pieces don't have the same intrigue and crackling energy as those in a Mission: Impossible chapter. That's down to the augmented reality overlays that make #HeartOfStone look like a video game. Except you’re not playing—you’re watching."

A third added, "I thought #HeartofStone would have had at least a 70% rotten tomatoes score but 27%? yikes."

A fourth shared, "#HeartOfStone is... bad. it's a poor mission: impossible copycat filled with boring storytelling & blandly executed action. gal gadot, alia bhatt, jamie dornan are there & while i've no sympathies for the zionist, it feels bad to see alia & jamie's talents being wasted."

Produced by a team including Gal Gadot, Don Granger, Julie Lynn, Bonnie Curtis, Jaron Varsano, David Ellison, and Dana Goldberg, 'Heart of Stone' was officially revealed in 2020. Alia Bhatt, Sophie Okondei, Jing Lusi, Paul Ready, and Matthias Schweighofer were introduced as significant cast members in March 2022.

Alia, speaking about her role in the film, had stated in an interview, "What’s amazing is how the narrative throughout the world is changing. I’ve experienced that even back in India, where I headlined this film called ‘Gangubai,’ which did really well in theatres and on Netflix all over the world. And this was a film that was headlined by a woman."

"We come from a certain school of thinking that a woman-led film in an action franchise won't do very well. But I think Gal shattered that myth when she did 'Wonder Woman.' Because at the end of the day it’s all about the characters and what you’re putting out there.

"So, similarly with 'Heart Of Stone' when we met and chatted about it, she said, 'You don't really see a spy thriller action franchise that is led by women, so I wanted to start something on my own.' I love that thought. It was so unique, relevant and current."
