Actor Saoirse Ronan has taken a significant step in her personal life, reportedly marrying her long-time partner and co-star Jack Lowden in a secret ceremony. The intimate event took place in Edinburgh, Scotland, as confirmed by the Scottish civil marriage register. According to the Sunday Independent, the four-time Oscar-nominated actress and Jack exchanged vows last weekend in front of only their closest friends. To maintain privacy, guests were asked to keep details confidential, avoiding any media attention.

Saoirse Ronan and Jack Lowden have been very private about their relationship. The couple started dating in 2018 after meeting on the set of Mary Queen of Scots, where Saoirse played the titular character opposite Margot Robbie as Queen Elizabeth I and Jack portrayed Mary's second husband, Lord Darnley. Their chemistry on screen translated into a real-life romance that has captivated fans.

Last year, engagement rumours swirled when Jack posted a photo of Saoirse's hand adorned with a diamond ring. Although they have kept their personal lives under wraps, the couple recently enjoyed a public outing at the Glastonbury Festival, sharing a loved-up picture with Normal People star Paul Mescal.

Saoirse Ronan has had an illustrious career with notable roles in Atonement, Brooklyn, Lady Bird and Little Women. She holds the distinction of being the second youngest person to receive four Academy Award nominations, following Jennifer Lawrence.

Jack Lowden has also made a name for himself in the acting world. He starred as Nikolai Rostov in the miniseries War and Peace and has featured in Apple TV+ drama Slow Horses, Small Axe and the true crime drama The Gold. The newlyweds currently reside in Islington, North London, where they share a 2.5 million pound home.
