MAMA Awards 2025 Day 1: The 2025 MAMA Awards, also known as the ‘Grammys of Asia,’ began on November 28, at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong. The ceremony went ahead as planned, even though the city is still recovering from a devastating residential building fire that claimed 128 lives earlier this week. While some fans believed the event should have been postponed, Chapter 1 of the awards took place without disruption and delivered an exciting night of performances and major wins.

The first night saw Rose, Enhypen and IVE take home some of the biggest trophies. Rose and Bruno Mars’ hit collaboration APT won Song of the Year, one of the night’s most anticipated awards. Enhypen continued their strong global run by winning Fans’ Choice of the Year, along with TELASA Favourite Global Artist and a spot in the Fans’ Choice Top 10 list. IVE also enjoyed a successful evening, collecting three awards: Favourite Female Group, Favourite Global Performer, and Global Trend Song for their track Rebel Heart. Other notable wins included Favourite Male Group, which went to BoyNextDoor, while Super Junior received the Inspiring Achievement Award for their long-standing contribution to Kpop. New groups Hearts2Hearts and Cortis shared the Best New Artist title.

Meanwhile, day 1 featured energetic performances from IVE, Enhypen, BoyNextDoor, BabyMonster, Super Junior, Treasure, NCT Wish, Hearts2Hearts and many more. Chapter 2 of the MAMA Awards will take place on November 29 and will announce top honours such as Artist of the Year and Album of the Year. G-Dragon, Aespa, Stray Kids, TXT and Riize are among the major performers lined up for the closing night.
