Sean Diddy Combs will stay behind bars more than the initially scheduled time, as the federal records now show a revised release date. The change in date came after he began serving time in prostitution related convictions. He was earlier expected to be released on May 8, 2028. But with the revised date, he will be released on June 4, 2028. There was no direct explanation given for the postponed date by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
Sean Diddy Combs’ two federal convictions- tied to transportation for prostitution tied to transportation for prostitution with the court handing down a 50-month term a few months later in October. He was in federal custody since he was arrested in September 2024 at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn, before he was moved to FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. When he was at Ford Dix, Combs was linked to a November 7 report from TMZ, claiming that he was found with homemade alcohol. It was a fermented mix which had Fanta soda, sugar and apples. The alleged brew had been left to settle for days. His spokesperson refused, saying that he has not violated any prison rules, and for Combs, sobriety and discipline are top priorities.

Another incident surfaced in no time. As reported by CBS News, Combs joined a prohibited three-way phone call. According to his representative, the call involved attorneys and fell under client privilege rules. Juda Engelmayer told people that Combs is enrolled in a drug treatment program at the facility and works in the chapel library. His lawyers have signalled plans to appeal the sentence. At the October sentencing, his attorneys pushed back on Judge Arun Subramanian’s handling of the hearing. They argued that the judge stepped beyond the jury’s role. Sean Diddy Combs was accused of sex trafficking and racketeering, but the jury dismissed those allegations. The prosecutor wanted the court to impose an 11-year term on the star. June 2028 is the current date of release on record. If any shift of date change happen, then it will come through the Federal Bureau of Prisons, which updates those timelines case by case.
