Global Box Office Collection
Internationally, Sinners has accumulated $68.9 million so far, which results in a total worldwide of $283.3 million dollars. North America remains the driving force, accounting for 76% of the overall box office. The leading international market is the UK/Ireland with $17.4 million, more than double of France's total $8.1M and triple of Australia’s $5.5 million. On the other hand, Industry analysts are now projecting that the movie Sinners could reach a domestic total of between $250 million and $280 million, putting it in position to overtake The Exorcist ($233 million) and claim the fourth spot on the all-time U.S. horror box office chart. Globally, the movie could also cross the $300 million mark in the coming weeks, with its only real competition being Marvel’s Thunderbolts, which is neck-and-neck in the box office race.
Meanwhile, Warner Bros. is celebrating more than one win. The studio’s other major release, A Minecraft Movie, brought in an additional $20.5 million globally this past weekend, pushing its worldwide gross past $900 million to $909.6 million. With its critical acclaim, box office momentum, and cultural impact, Sinners is proving to be one of the most successful original horror films and a career-defining project for both Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan.
