After much wait, HBO has finally announced the trio for its upcoming Harry Potter series-Harry, Hermione and Ron. The newcomers for the show were selected after taking 10000 auditions. The casting call was opened last year by the production company and finally, the new faces are here. Now, the Harry Potter series features Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. Earlier, the iconic characters were played by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, who rose to fame with the show. Today, we will talk about the new face of the Harry Potter series here. 

Who Is Dominic McLaughlin Aka New Harry Potter? 

Daniel Radcliffe earlier played the role of Harry Potter in Jk Rowling's series and left a huge benchmark with his performance and looks. Now, his role is passed to newcomer Dominic McLaughlin for HBO’s series. Dominic has signed the contract after he participated in the open casting calls from the production house of the show in 2024. The casting was made in the age group of between 9 to 11 years. But according to a report by The Mirror, Dominic has other projects than the Harry Potter series. He has already worked in a film called Grow, which has been backed by Sky Original film. It also stars Nick Frost, who will be playing the role of Rubeus Hagrid in the Harry Potter series. The movie is slated to be released this year. 

Dominic McLaughlin has a third project in the kitty, which is a BBC show, Gifted. Notably, it is a screen adaptation of Marilyn Kaye's novels of the same title. McLaughlin will be playing the role of Martin in the show. It is also slated to be released in 2025. 

While sharing the cast of Harry Potter series, Max wrote on Instagram, “Dear Mr. Potter, Miss Granger, and Mr. Weasley: We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please welcome Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley to the HBO Original Series Harry Potter.”
