YouTube, a popular video streaming app, is all set to unveil six new features adding zing to the excitement of the 2023 National Football League (NFL) season. These updates will roll out on YouTube and YouTube TV selectively. Here are details about the features that the video platform has in store for fans this league season.

Monthly Payment Plans

YouTube will introduce flexible NFL Sunday Ticket options taking action from feedback. A new monthly payment plan option when users sign up for the ticket will appear. With this option, users can pay for their "subscription over time, versus all at once". This will be available to users "over the next week" on YouTube and YouTube TV.

Student Plans

The company will also introduce student plans for NFL Sunday Ticket next week for football fans.

More Multiview Options

NFL Sunday Ticket subscribers will get "an extensive assortment of multiview combinations every Sunday afternoon." "If you signed up for the NFL Sunday Ticket + NFL RedZone package, your multiview options will include both out-of-market games and RedZone, whether you're watching from YouTube or YouTube TV."

Live Chat and Polls

While watching NFL Sunday Ticket games via the video app, viewers can interact via polls and live chat on mobile and TV. NFL Shop integration will be added later to the experience.

Key Plays On YouTube

A loved feature of YouTube TV - key plays will be available to users on YouTube. Viewers can catch up on missed games or view snippets of previous games before tuning in live. It will be available on TVs.

Highlights In YouTube Shorts

This season, real-time highlights of every NFL match will be available via Shorts. These "appear in viewers' Shorts feeds on Sunday afternoon will include a red 'Live' ring around the NFL channel avatar." Once the viewer clicks this ring, they will be redirected to the Live tab on the official channel, where they can select the appropriate NFL Sunday Ticket game they wish to watch.
