Trump-Zelenskyy Meet: A verbal fallout between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his American counterpart Donald Trump at the Oval Office grabbed global headlines on Friday. The incident was a rare one with heads of two nations, arguably allies, sparring with each other in front of the world media. Just before the verbal spat began, Zelenskyy's attire while visiting the "highest-level office" in the US garnered the attention of media persons present at the White House.
Zelenskyy, who reached the white house on Friday to secure a crucial mineral agreement, was dressed in his trademark clothes-- a black sweatshirt, black trousers and boots. A media person present at the Oval Office asked Zelenskyy why he was not wearing a suit, as he was considered underdressed compared to his counterpart, Trump.
"Why don’t you wear a suit? Do you own a suit?" Reporter Brian Glenn asked Zelensky during his conversation with Trump in the Oval Office. Snapping back at the reporter, Zelenskyy said, "Do you have a problem?".

"A lot of Americans have a problem with who don't respect the dress code of the Oval office," the reporter responded. Zelensky then told him that he would wear a suit after the Russia-Ukraine war ends. "I will wear a suit after this war finishes, yes. Maybe something like yours, yes, maybe something better. I don't know, we will see. Maybe something cheaper. Thank you," he responded.

The reporter wasn’t the first one to make a statement about the Ukrainian president’s attire. US President Donald Trump immediately took a dig at Zelenskyy’s casual attire as soon as the latter stepped out of his motorcade at the West Wing. "You’re all dressed up today," Trump said, keeping his tongue-in-check.

Later on during the meeting, a heated argument erupted between Trump and Zelenskyy over the war between Ukraine and Russia. Ukrainian President was asked to leave the White House as Trump accused him of being disrespectful. Volodymyr Zelensky also cautioned Trump about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s pattern of failing to follow through on his commitments
