Noida Metro Update: Efforts to extend Noida Metro Phase-3 from Noida Sector-62 to Mohan Nagar have resumed. The Uttar Pradesh government has sought a detailed report from the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) regarding the proposed metro operations. The report will outline the finalised route and the progress of the project.  The engineering section of GDA is currently preparing the necessary documentation.

Previously, GDA had engaged the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR), which was subsequently submitted to the government. According to the DPR, the metro route will connect Noida Sector-62 to Sahibabad, where Sahibabad station will be linked to the Namo Bharat Train station via a foot overbridge, a Jagran.com report stated.

This connection aims to facilitate passenger movement towards Mohan Nagar's Red Line through the Namo Bharat Train. In-charge Chief Engineer Manvendra Singh confirmed that the report will be finalised and sent to the government soon, the report added.
