Charbagh Station Transformation Reviewed; Focus On Quality And Timely Completion

Northern Railway General Manager Ashok Kumar Verma has emphasised that the redevelopment of Lucknow’s Charbagh Railway Station remains one of the zone’s top priority projects, to provide passengers with world-class facilities. He directed all associated agencies to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of the work.

During an inspection on Sunday, the General Manager reviewed the new station building being constructed at the station’s second entrance, along with ongoing upgrade works. Officials briefed him on the progress, while he examined the pace of construction, quality standards, and passenger-centric amenities under development.

Verma also inspected the holding area, sanitation systems, and crowd management arrangements, instructing officials to ensure that all facilities are planned to maximise passenger comfort and convenience.

The new station building is being developed with modern waiting rooms, upgraded toilets, expanded parking, platform modernisation, and revamped entry and exit gates.

Divisional Railway Manager (Lucknow) Sunil Kumar Verma, senior headquarters officials, and representatives of the Rail Land Development Authority were present during the inspection.
