Agra Bird Flu Alert: District Administration in Agra has issued Instructions to prevent the spread of diseases like dengue, malaria, and chikungunya from mosquitoes, as well as scrub typhus and leptospirosis from dog and rat excreta.

On the other hand, an alert has been issued due to the risk of bird flu spreading.
District Magistrate Arvind Mallappa Bangari has directed all departments to take measures to prevent these diseases.

Departmental Instructions Issued In Agra

- District Panchayat Raj Officer: Directed to ensure cleanliness in villages, bush cutting, elimination of waterlogging, and spraying of anti-larvae and medicines, as well as fogging.

- Basic Education Officer and District Inspector of Schools instructed to educate students about the prevention of malaria, dengue, and chikungunya in all schools.

-And ensure cleanliness in school premises and prevent the accumulation of unnecessary water.

The district administration has issued instructions to maintain cleanliness and spray anti-larvae to prevent the spread of diseases.

What Are THESE Disease And Symptoms

1. Viral Infection
- Symptoms: Sore throat, cold, cough, and fever
2. Malaria
- Symptoms: Fever that recurs every other day, high fever with chills in children, low haemoglobin
3. Dengue
- Symptoms: High fever, red rashes on the body, pain around the eyes
4. Typhoid
- Symptoms: Mild fever initially, high fever after 4-5 days, abdominal pain, rashes, muscle pain
5. Scrub Typhus
- Symptoms: Fever, rashes, and sores on the body, caused by bites from larval mites found in fields
6. Leptospirosis
- Symptoms: Fever, headache, eye infection, spread through animal urine in swimming pools
7. Brucellosis
- Symptoms: Fever, joint pain, sweating, caused by contact with infected animals, their milk, or dairy products
8. Toxoplasmosis
- Symptoms: Fever, eye pain, caused by contact with infected cat faeces

- Keep your surroundings clean and free of stagnant water.
- Empty water from coolers, refrigerator trays, and plant pots regularly.
- Avoid consuming contaminated food and water.
- Drink plenty of fluids.
- Free testing and treatment facilities are available at government hospitals.
