The proposal was presented by Gautam Buddha Nagar MP Dr Mahesh Sharma, which was later approved by the Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari.

Projects Worth Rs 1.2 Lakh Crore Underway In NCR

During his visit, the Union Minister said that currently, there are several projects underway in the NCR region, which are estimated to cost Rs 1.2 lakh crore. He further added that Rs 60,000 worth of projects have been completed. He further said that the central government is poised to invest Rs 40,000-50,000 crore more in future development initiatives.

Delhi-Noida-Greater Noida Benefits

Once completed, the expressway will decongest the burdened and overcrowded 25-km-long Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.

The influx of vehicles on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway has led to extreme traffic chaos and congestion, mainly during the peak hours.

The expressway handles around 5 lakh vehicles every day. While around 2 lakh of these vehicles enter via the DND flyover, the remaining three lakh vehicles come in from Chilla Border and Kalindi Kunj.
