In view of the increasing number of passengers during the festive season, the Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation has made special preparations. Out of a total of 1,050 buses across the nine depots within the Lucknow division, 950 buses have been put on alert for operations.

From the Raebareli depot's total of 176 buses, 158 have been put on alert for operations to ensure passenger convenience during the festivals. Departmental officials stated that special arrangements have been made to handle the passenger rush during major festivals like Deepawali, Bhai Dooj, and Chhath Puja.

Keeping the heavy passenger movement between Raebareli and Lucknow in mind, 20 additional buses will be operated. Additionally, for the convenience of passengers traveling from Raebareli to Delhi, 10 special buses will be run from October 18 to 30.

Regional Manager RK Tripathi stated that for the festival, buses have been allocated as follows: 158 out of 176 buses from Raebareli depot, 120 out of 133 from Charbagh depot, 94 out of 104 from Awadh depot, 155 out of 172 from Kaiserbagh Corporation depot, 121 out of 134 from Kaiserbagh Contracted depot, 105 out of 117 from Haidergarh depot, 10 out of 11 from Upnagariya depot, 107 out of 119 from Barabanki depot, and 80 out of 89 from Alambagh depot.

Along with this, 105 buses have been kept in reserve across all depots. He explained that the allocation of 158 buses for the Raebareli depot was done so that local officials do not face difficulties in dispatching buses to routes with higher passenger numbers.

He mentioned that 10 additional buses (apart from the regular ones) for Delhi and 20 additional buses for Lucknow will operate from October 18 to 30. Furthermore, to manage the rush on the Delhi route, up to 40 buses from the depot will be operated between October 18 and 24. He also added that buses will be dispatched to other routes if the passenger load exceeds 60 percent.
