DND Repair Work Underway, Heavy Traffic Jams Expected For Delhi-Noida Route

Work to repair the damaged road on the Delhi-Noida Direct (DND) Flyway began on Monday morning. The repair, which is being carried out by the Noida Toll Bridge Company Limited, will involve a complete rebuild of the road. Currently, drivers are facing difficulties as the road is damaged in several places.

The project is expected to last for about a month and will be conducted in phases. The road leading from Delhi to Noida is being repaired first, and the corridor from Noida to Delhi will be repaired afterward.

During this period, there may be traffic pressure or congestion. Approximately 500,000 vehicles use the DND every day, and even under normal conditions, the flyway experiences congestion in the evening from vehicles heading towards Noida.

To manage the situation, the traffic police have advised against carrying out the work during busy morning and evening hours. DCP Traffic Praveen Kumar Ranjan stated that permission has been granted for work during two specific windows to ensure people are not inconvenienced:

11:00 pm to 6:00 am: Two lanes will be closed.

12:00 pm to 4:00 pm: One lane will be closed.
