Residents in several areas of Indirapuram faced severe inconvenience on Wednesday after the water supply lasted only 10 to 15 minutes, leaving households unable to fill their tanks. Many were forced to purchase drinking water from shops to cope with the shortage.

In Niti Khand-II, the supply began around 7 AM but stopped abruptly. Local resident Ajay Saxena said the water flow barely continued for 10 minutes, and by the time people switched on their motors, the supply had already ended. With no return of water through the day, residents were left struggling.

A similar situation was reported from Abhay Khand-I and II, where residents said the supply often comes with low pressure or for a very brief duration. “This happens frequently-sometimes the water is dirty, sometimes the pressure is too low,” said Surendra Sharma, a resident of Abhay Khand-I.

Low pressure also troubled residents of the Karkad Model area, where the supply on Wednesday was too weak to reach upper floors. Despite using motors, households were unable to fill their tanks. Locals said this is a recurring issue and not a one-day problem.

However, officials maintained that the supply is normal in most regions. “Complaints were received from a few areas. An investigation was conducted and the issue has now been resolved. Water supply is normal,” said KP Anand, General Manager, Water Works Department.
