A complaint regarding qualifications has once again been filed at AIIMS, this time concerning Superintending Engineer Lieutenant Colonel Manisha Tiwari. The complaint alleges she was appointed to the post despite lacking the required experience and holding an invalid degree.

The complaint, which has been sent to all board members, including AIIMS Chairman Padma Shri Dr Hemant Kumar and Executive Director Major General (Retired) Dr Vibha Dutta, states that the post of Superintending Engineer (SE) requires an engineer with at least 21 years of experience. However, it alleges that Lieutenant Colonel Manisha Tiwari, who completed her B.Tech in Electronics in 2014, was given the charge at AIIMS with less than 10 years of experience.

Questions have also been raised regarding her B.Tech degree. The complaint alleges that an individual with a B.Tech in Electronics cannot be appointed to the post of SE at AIIMS. It further alleges that the degree was obtained in only three years instead of four.

It is stated that Lieutenant Colonel Manisha Tiwari had also applied for the Superintending Engineer post which was advertised in 2023.

The complaint includes several other allegations:

Improper Construction: It questions the placement of plants on a stair-like structure built at the AIIMS gate, which is in an area designated for patients and their relatives to walk. The complaint states this is causing significant inconvenience and poses a risk of accidents.

Unapproved Leave: It is stated that between December 21, 2024 and January 20, 2025, Lieutenant Colonel Manisha Tiwari was on unapproved leave for more than 10 days. Her attendance was not verified. Her salary was initially withheld but was later released, and despite this, no disciplinary action was initiated against her.
