Gorakhpur-Patliputra Vande Bharat Express: Ticket booking for the newly introduced Gorakhpur–Patliputra Vande Bharat Express (Train No 26501/26502) has officially begun. On Friday, as soon as the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) added the train to its system, bookings surged, with over 100 chair car tickets sold from Gorakhpur by evening.

Fare Details

- Chair Car (with food): Rs 1,060

- Chair Car (without food): Rs 925

- Executive Class (with food): Rs 1,995

Ticket prices include meals (breakfast, tea/coffee, water), with a Rs 100–150 reduction for opting out of food. Service charges are additional.

Train Schedule, Frequency

The Vande Bharat will operate six days a week, excluding Saturdays (reserved for maintenance at Gorakhpur Junction yard).

- Departure from Gorakhpur: 5:40 AM

- Arrival at Patliputra (Patna): 12:45 PM

- Return from Patliputra: 3:30 PM

- Arrival at Gorakhpur: 10:30 PM

- Total travel time: Approx 7 hours in each direction

- Distance covered: 384 km

The train will pass through the following stations:

- Kaptanganj, Narkatiaganj, Muzaffarpur, and Hajipur.

The saffron-coloured Vande Bharat train consists of 8 coaches:

- 7 Chair Cars (CC) with 478 seats

- 1 Executive Class (EC) coach with 52 seats
