Around 20 vehicles collided on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway in the Dankaur Kotwali area, Greater Noida, due to dense fog on Monday morning. It is reported that several people were injured in the accident. The Dankaur police have begun removing the vehicles from the Eastern Peripheral Expressway using a crane.
A major accident occurred on Monday morning on the Eastern Expressway near Galgotias University and Dadupur village in the Dankaur Kotwali area due to dense fog, where a truck travelling ahead suddenly slowed down, and collided in a chain reaction with several vehicles, including canters, pickups, and many cars.
During the incident, potatoes from a canter spilt onto the expressway, causing a significant loss to the farmer. The front of most vehicles was severely damaged.
Following the accident, panic ensued among the passengers in the cars, and everyone abandoned their vehicles and ran to the side of the expressway. After being notified, expressway personnel and the Dankaur police arrived at the scene and began relief and rescue operations.

The police have stated that the injured sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for first aid. Visibility was very low due to the dense fog, which led to the accident. Police officials have appealed to drivers to exercise caution during foggy conditions, drive slowly, and maintain a safe distance to avoid such accidents.
