The Hapur Transport Department has announced that petrol and diesel vehicles that are 15 years old or older will no longer be permitted to operate within the district. Officials have identified 422 such vehicles and directed their owners to re-register them in other districts.

A list of 34 districts in Uttar Pradesh has been released where these vehicles can be re-registered, including Etawah, Sant Kabir Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Kushinagar, Jaunpur, Ballia, Ghazipur, Mainpuri, Sultanpur, and several others. Owners can also obtain an NOC to re-register their vehicles in states outside the Delhi NCR.

ARTO (Administration) Chhavi Singh Chauhan stated that if a vehicle no longer exists or is permanently unusable, the owner must have it scrapped at a government-recognised scrapping centre and submit proof to the registering officer to cancel the registration as per rules.

Among the vehicles identified are HR75-2108, UP12V8747, UP12W1245, UP13U9963, UP13V9144, UP13W3470, UP13W3493, UP13W4886, UP13X0199, UP14AW5539, along with series including UP14BA, UP14BB, UP14BC, and UP14BD. Additional specific vehicles have also been listed by the authorities.

Vehicle owners are advised to comply with the order promptly to avoid penalties and ensure lawful re-registration.
