Lucknow: 20-Year-Old Man Found Murdered, Family Alleges 'Honor Killing' Over Love Marriage

The body of 20-year-old Shani Rawat, a resident of Shankarbaksh Kheda village in Mohanlalganj, was recovered from the Baank drain in Nigohan on Tuesday morning. According to the information, Shani had left his home a day earlier and had not returned.

Several injury marks were found on the young man's body, and blood stains were also discovered on the bridge over the drain at the scene. The deceased's slippers were also found nearby, making the case look suspicious.

In connection with this matter, Shani's father, Ramnaresh Rawat, has alleged murder. He stated that the reason for his son's death is the love marriage he had a year and a half ago. He has accused the wife's family, who were very unhappy with the marriage, of murdering his son out of a grudge.

Following a written complaint by Ramnaresh Rawat, the police have registered a murder case against three individuals and have started an investigation into the matter.
