The foundation stone for the Defence Testing Infrastructure System (DTIS) scheme of the Ministry of Defence’s DPSU will also be laid. The DTIS facility will provide industries within the Defence Corridor with the ability to test their materials, improve their products and facilitate certification for marketing.

Chief Secretary Singh emphasised that this is a proud moment for Uttar Pradesh, as it not only enhances the state’s global profile but also creates significant employment opportunities. Following the inauguration, production of the world-renowned Brahmos missile, known for its precision and power, will begin in Lucknow.

Previously, in December 2021, Brahmos was allotted 80 hectares of land free of cost, and the project’s operation is set to begin in under three and a half years. Additionally, 20 hectares of land was allocated to Aeroloy Technology, whose first phase investment of Rs 320 crore is nearing completion. The products from this enterprise are utilised in key projects such as the Chandrayaan mission and fighter aircraft.
