The Prayagraj Police announced a detailed traffic advisory for the Mahakumbh Mela 2025, specifically addressing the first and second Shahi Snan scheduled on January 13 (Paush Purnima) and January 14 (Makar Sankranti). From 6:00 AM on January 12 to January 15, the entry of large commercial vehicles into the city will be strictly prohibited.

Additionally, all previously issued vehicle passes will be invalid during this period, as stated by the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic).

Prayagraj Traffic Advisory For Mahakumbh 2025 

To accommodate the influx of pilgrims, designated parking areas have been arranged based on their routes:

  • From Jaunpur: Chini Mill Parking, Jhunsi, and Puresur Das Parking on Garapur Road.

  • From Varanasi: Shivpur Ustapur Parking, Patel Bagh, and Kanha Motors Parking near the Kanihaar Railway Underbridge.

  • From Mirzapur: Devarakh Uparhar and Saraswati High-Tech Parking.

  • From Rewa: Naini Agricultural Institute and Nav Prayagm Parking.

  • From Kanpur: Nehru Park and Airforce Ground Parking.

  • From Lucknow: Beli Kachar and Bela Kachar 2.

  • From Pratapgarh: Beli Kachar and Bela Kachar 2.

  • From Old City: ECC Degree College Parking and Inter College Parking.

  • From MG Road: CMP Degree College and KP Ground.

  • From Urban Areas: Karnailganj Inter College and Muslim Hostel Ground. Other pilgrims will use Hasimpur Bakhshi Bandh and Baghada Parking (IRT Parking).

  • From Shivkuti and Surrounding Areas: Uptran Chowk and Nageshwar Parking.

These measures aim to manage the anticipated large crowds effectively and maintain smooth traffic flow. Pilgrims are advised to adhere to police instructions for a safe and hassle-free experience. Non-compliance with traffic rules will result in penalties. The Prayagraj Police stated that they encourage cooperation from all attendees to ensure the success of the Mahakumbh Mela 2025.
