Major Traffic Restrictions In Ghaziabad Until Oct 24; Check New Routes

To manage the heavy rush in city markets during the festive season, the Ghaziabad Traffic Police have announced a comprehensive traffic diversion plan. The restrictions will be in effect from 12:00 pm on Thursday, October 16, until 11:00 am on Friday, October 24, 2025.

According to ADCP Traffic Sachchidanand, the diversions are being implemented to ensure a smooth flow of traffic for Dhanteras, Diwali, and Bhai Dooj.

Key Restrictions

Goods Vehicles: Entry of goods vehicles will be completely banned on GT Road between Sajan Mod and HapurTiraha.

Autos And E-rickshaws: The movement of auto-rickshaws and e-rickshaws will be suspended between the Old Bus Stand and Chaudhary Mod. They will also be prohibited from operating under the Thakurdwara Flyover on GT Road.

Detailed Diversion Plan

From Hapur Tiraha: Light or heavy goods vehicles and buses will not be allowed to proceed towards Ghantaghar. They will be diverted via ALT from Meerut Tiraha to reach their destinations.

From Sajan Mod: Goods vehicles will not be permitted to travel towards Chaudhary Mod on GT Road. These vehicles will be rerouted from Sajan Mod via Loha Mandi, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Park, Vivekanandanagar Flyover, and HapurChungi.

Buses: The movement of Roadways and city buses will be suspended on the routes between Lal Kuan and HapurTiraha, and between Chaudhary Mod and the Old Bus Stand.

From Gaushala Phatak: Goods vehicles will be barred from heading towards HapurTiraha and Ghantaghar.

Old Bus Stand to Chaudhary Mod: All goods vehicles, tempos, autos, and e-rickshaws are prohibited on this stretch.

Ramte Ram Road: E-rickshaws will not be allowed to operate from Delhi Juice Corner to Maliwara Chowk. Their movement is also banned from Delhi Juice Corner towards Delhi Gate and Jassipura.
