A joint team of the Food Department and the police in Hapur district has seized 15 quintals (1,500 kg) of adulterated paneer from a vehicle at the Chhijarsi toll plaza. The vehicle was en route from Gajraula to Delhi.

According to officials, the seized paneer was of poor quality, emitting a foul smell, and was found to have been made using refined oil.

As part of the initiative to ensure safe food supply, the adulterated paneer was taken to an empty field behind the Chhijarsi police post. There, it was completely destroyed by being crushed and buried with the help of a bulldozer.

Sunil Kumar, the Assistant Commissioner of the Food Department, stated that ensuring the supply of quality food items in the district is a top priority. He warned that strict action will continue against those found transporting adulterated materials.
