The Meerut Traffic Police have issued a comprehensive route diversion plan to manage traffic and ensure public safety during the Dussehra celebrations on Thursday, October 2. The diversions will be strictly enforced in view of the Ramlila events, fairs, and processions being held across the city.

According to SP Traffic Raghavendra Mishra, the traffic plan will be implemented from 5:00 pm on Thursday and will remain in effect until the conclusion of the events.

General Rules And Timings

- Effective Time: The diversions will begin at 5:00 pm on Thursday, October 2.

- Heavy Vehicle Ban: The entry of all heavy vehicles into the city will be completely prohibited until 1:00 am on early morning of October 3.

- No Entry Zones: No vehicles of any kind will be permitted on the routes and in the areas where fairs and events are being held.

- Enforcement: Barriers will be installed at key points, and a significant police force will be deployed. Vehicles found violating the orders will be seized.

1. Diversion Plan for Roadways Buses (To/From Bhainsali Bus Stand)

- From Delhi: Buses will travel via Partapur Interchange Expressway, Modipuram, Zero Miles,Begumpul to reach the bus stand.

- From Haridwar And Muzaffarnagar: Buses will travel via Modipuram, Zero Miles,Begumpul to reach the bus stand 

- From Bijnor: Buses will travel via Saket crossing then Zero Miles,Begumpul to reach the bus stand.

2. Diversion Plan for Heavy Vehicles (Through Traffic)

- For vehicles traveling from Muzaffarnagar towards Hapur, Garh, and Moradabad: The route will be via the Modipuram flyover, Sardhana flyover, Partapur Interchange, MohiuddinpurKharkhoda Mod, and Kharkhoda.

- For vehicles traveling from Muzaffarnagar towards Hapur and Bulandshahr: The route will be via the Modipuram T-junction, Partapur Interchange, Mohiuddinpur-Kharkhoda Mod, and Kharkhoda.

- For vehicles from Garh or Moradabad heading towards Muzaffarnagar and Roorkee: Due to the Jail Chungi fair, these vehicles will be diverted at the Diggi T-junction and sent through Tejgarhi crossing, L-Block, the Bijli Bamba police post, Kharkhoda, Mohiuddinpur, Partapur Interchange, and Modipuram.

- For vehicles from the Bijnor side heading towards Hapur, Garh, and Moradabad: They will be routed via Kaserukhera, along the right side of Ganda Nala, and then alongside the Kali Nadi bridge to reach Garh Road.3. Local Traffic Restrictions Due to Fairs

Ramlila Ground Fair (Delhi Road)

- No Entry: All vehicle movement is banned on Delhi Road between Bagpat T-junction, Football crossing, and Dainik Jagran T-junction.

- Alternative Routes: Vehicles can use the Bijli Bamba bypass or take Bagpat Road from the Bagpat T-junction.

- Additional Diversion: Vehicles coming from Brahmpuri crossing and Sharda Road will be stopped at Delhi Chungi and diverted towards Bagpat T-junction and Maliyana bridge to use Bagpat Road.

Jail Chungi Fair

No Entry: Heavy vehicle movement is prohibited between Diggi T-junction and Tejgarhi crossing to Commissioner Awas crossing.

Diversion: Vehicles coming from Diggi T-junction towards CCSU Road and Jail Chungi will be diverted onto Qila Road.

LIC Cut: Vehicles coming from the LIC cut will be routed through Imli T-junction.

Surajkund Park Fair

No Entry: Vehicle entry towards Surajkund Temple is completely prohibited from Gandhi Ashram crossing, Sitaram Hostel culvert, Surajkund Sports Market, and the Nala culvert.

Bhainsali Ground Fair

No Entry: Vehicle movement towards Bhainsali Ground is banned from Jali Kothi, Mahtab T-junction, CAV School Sadar, and Guru Tegh Bahadur School.
