Work on the 825-metre link road connecting Railway Road to Baghpat Road has entered its final phase, with officials confirming that vehicular movement will begin in the first week of December.

The levelling of the stretch is nearly complete, while the construction of a boundary wall along the military area is underway and expected to finish by November 30. Currently, the road remains closed from both sides due to ongoing work.

The link road, long demanded by local residents, will significantly ease traffic flow between Railway Road and Baghpat Road. At present, commuters must take a longer route via Railway Road Crossing, Delhi Road, and Football Chowk to reach Baghpat Road.

Once the army completes the wall, the remaining road construction will be finalised, paving the way for the route to open next month.
