A significant step towards enhancing last-mile connectivity for the upcoming Noida International Airport (Jewar) has been taken. Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) has signed an agreement with the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) to launch direct bus services connecting the airport with major districts across the state.

Initial Phase

Connecting Cultural and Commercial Hubs Under this agreement, direct bus services will commence as soon as the airport becomes operational. The initial routes will connect the airport to Mathura, Vrindavan, Agra, Hathras and Aligarh.

This initiative aims to provide convenient transport options for passengers, eliminating the need to rely solely on private vehicles or expensive taxi services. By linking the airport directly to cities of high cultural and commercial importance, the move addresses the critical need for affordable road connectivity.

Future Expansion Plans

The airport management and the transport department have outlined plans to expand this network in the future. The service is expected to extend to additional districts, including:

- Bulandshahr

- Farrukhabad

- Firozabad

- Hapur

- Moradabad

Authorities are currently moving into the next phase of the plan, which involves finalising specific bus stops and drafting timetables for these routes to ensure maximum accessibility for residents across the state.
