Construction work on Garh Road, Meerut and its culverts has prompted the traffic police to enforce new traffic diversions from Friday morning. As per the revised plan, buses arriving from external depots will no longer be allowed to enter the Sohrab Gate bus station. Instead, these buses will now pick up and drop off passengers exclusively at the Hapur Adda intersection.

Only buses belonging to the Sohrab Gate depot will be permitted to operate from the bus station. The SP Traffic has issued directives to all depots in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand to ensure drivers are informed of the changes. Police personnel have been deployed at Hapur Adda to restrict the entry of external buses toward Sohrab Gate.

Meanwhile, Sohrab Gate depot buses will also travel via Hapur Adda, resulting in no bus access through Garh Road. However, movement of two-wheelers and four-wheelers will continue on the route.

New Route Plan for External Depot Buses & Heavy Vehicles

-Buses arriving from Haridwar, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Khatauli, Dehradun and surrounding regions will be diverted from Hapur Adda toward the L-Block T-junction, bypassing Sohrab Gate.

-Buses coming from Taj Depot Agra, Aligarh, Hathras, Etawah and nearby areas will follow the route from L-Block T-junction via Hapur Adda to Begumpul, without access to Sohrab Gate.

Buses departing for Hapur, Bulandshahr, Garhmukteshwar and Moradabad will travel from Sohrab Gate bus stand to Hapur Adda, then proceed via Hapur Road to L-Block post. Routes to Garhmukteshwar and Moradabad will further connect to Garh Road via PVS Marg and Tejgarhi. Vehicles will also use the Tejgarhi-PVS Marg route to reach Sohrab Gate.

Heavy vehicles will follow the route from Hapur Adda to L-Block post, then continue via PVS Marg to Tejgarhi.
