A woman lawyer was allegedly attacked with an inflammable substance inside a court in Moradabad’s Thakurdwara tehsil, police said on Saturday. The incident occurred on Thursday around 10:30 am. The incident occurred when the advocate reached the court and moments later, two men attacked her.
According to the complaint filed by the victim, identified as Advocate Shashibala, she was dropped near the main gate of the court by her tenant, Satyendra. Moments later, two men, identified as Sachin Kumar and his relative Nitin Kumar, who were hiding nearby, threw an inflammable substance on her from behind.
Shashibala alleged that one of the attackers placed a country-made pistol to her temple, warning her, "Today we will give you a very good gift." The accused fled when she raised an alarm, drawing the attention of other lawyers. The chemical burned parts of her body and clothes.
