New Vande Bharat Train Between New Gomti Nagar And Moradabad To Start From Dec 9; Check Stations, Timings

Vande Bharat News: In a major boost to the economy and regional connectivity, the launch date for the new Vande Bharat Express running between Lucknow's Gomti Nagar and Saharanpur has been finalised. The service is scheduled to begin regular operations on December 9th, running six days a week (Tuesday to Sunday). Once launched, the route is expected to boost educational, tourism, and business perspectives between Moradabad and Saharanpur. 

This is the third Vande Bharat Express to run through Moradabad. Earlier, the Dehradun-Lucknow and Meerut-Varanasi Vande Bharat Expresses also ran via Moradabad. Now, the third Vande Bharat Express, the Gomtinagar-Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express, has also been opened to cater to the high passenger footfall on this route.

Gomti Nagar-Modabad Vande Bharat: Details

• The rail route was inaugurated on November 8th. 

• The train will depart from Gomti Nagar (instead of the main Charbagh Railway Station in Lucknow).

• It is scheduled to arrive in Moradabad at 8:35 pm while the train coming from Saharanpur will reach Moradabad at 8:05 am. 

• There will be a brief five-minute stop at Moradabad in both directions.

• The route will allow Moradabad's business community to complete one-day trips to Saharanpur (renowned for its wooden furniture industry) and return by evening.

• Additionally, access to the Siddhbali Temple in Kotdwar via Najibabad will become easier, boosting religious tourism.

• Meanwhile, students of IIT Roorkee will benefit from fast, safe, and convenient travel options.
