The Noida International Airport is likely to start its international flight operations from November 15, and the domestic and cargo services from September, as the work has gained momentum. Earlier, the deadline was pushed further twice as the construction work was not completed on time. Though the team of the Bureau of Civil Aviation has cross-checked the safety standards, the Noida Airport awaits for license from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
Shailendra Bhatia, Nodal Officer of Noida International Airport Ltd. and OSD of YIDA, said, “International flight services can start from Noida Airport from November 15. The domestic terminal and cargo terminal are ready. Operations can start from these in September.”
Noida Airport Operations To Start Soon
The international flight operations were scheduled to start earlier, but due to incomplete construction work, it was scheduled to April 2025. The deadline was further extended to May 15 for domestic flight and June 25 for international flights in a meeting chaired by CM Yogi Adityanath. Now, the international operations are expected to start in November.
The Chief Secretary, Manoj Kumar Singh, reviewed the construction work in May and June and instructed to complete the work expeditiously. The work has gained momentum. The work on the terminal building is being completed at a fast pace, and work on the runway and ATC tower is soon to be completed. The airport, being built on 1334 hectares, will have one runway.
Bus Services Will Start For THESE States
The Yamuna International Airport has signed contracts with the transport corporations of various states, including Haryana, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Once the airport becomes operational, direct bus services will start from the major cities.
