Noida Authority News: In Noida, the authority has not deposited the outstanding electricity bill of Rs 3 crore in the Jal Khand area, including the sewage treatment plant (STP) located in Sector-135, reported Jagran.com. The action was taken by Pashchimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (PVNL) by cutting the electricity connection.

The connection was restored after agreeing to give additional time to deposit the bill. Noida Authority's 115 MLD STP plant operates in Sector-137.

According to the report, in the Jal Khand area, the authority has not deposited the outstanding bill of about three crores of the Electricity Corporation for the last six months. Notices were also issued by the corporation in this regard.

Taking action against the delay in bill deposit, the corporation cut the electricity connection at 2 pm on Wednesday. As soon as the connection was cut, the officials of the authority came into action. They talked to the corporation officials and gave assurance of depositing the bill within the stipulated time.

On assurance, the connection was reconnected after two hours. Executive Engineer Shivam Tripathi said that the connection was cut for two hours, and an assurance has been given to deposit the bill.

On the other hand, Power Minister AK Sharma asked officials to ensure that Noida industrial sectors do not face power cuts during office working hours in the city. In a meeting with power department officials, the minister said that any necessary maintenance or fault repairs should be done before 9 am and after 6 pm to avoid disrupting industrial operations
