Noida authorities have issued a new tender for the construction of a skywalk at the busy roundabout connecting Sectors 1, 2, 14, and 15. The project will be implemented on a Built-Operate-and-Transfer (BOT) basis, with bids scheduled to be opened on December 12. The company offering the lowest bid will be awarded the contract, which is expected to cost around Rs 15 crore.
The construction is slated for completion within six months, and the winning company will receive advertising rights to recover costs. The skywalk, aimed at easing pedestrian movement and reducing traffic congestion, will connect Sector-15, Sector-03, and the Indian Oil crossing. It will feature escalators on both sides and a lift for people with disabilities.
Once completed, the skywalk is expected to significantly reduce pedestrian-induced traffic congestion and accidents in the area, ensuring safer and smoother movement for both pedestrians and vehicles.
The final construction cost will be confirmed after the Detailed Project Report (DPR) is prepared.
