Noida Authority will undertake major redesign work on the stretch from Sector-1 roundabout to Sector-27 Atta Peer, addressing issues ranging from water drainage to pedestrian footpaths.

During an inspection on Monday, Noida Authority CEO Dr Lokesh M directed officials to conduct a survey and submit a redesign report within three days. The inspection revealed severe waterlogging near Sector-15 metro station towards the Rajnigandha intersection, caused by a higher service road and a lower main road. Footpaths along the stretch were found to be either missing, built in small segments, or poor condition.

Traffic congestion was also noted at the Sector-16 car market cut while moving from Rajnigandha intersection towards the roundabout. Similarly, at Sector-104 Hajipur traffic signal near Sector-98 Skymark, the underpass connected to the signal, and the Sector-128 JP roundabout, traffic bottlenecks were reported during peak hours. Instructions have been issued to redesign these sections, including reducing the size of the JP roundabout.

Officials also examined waterlogging issues around Amity University and on the service road. Public Health Department OSD Indu Prakash Singh has been tasked with carrying out necessary improvements.
