The Railway Ministry released the schedule for the much-awaited Vande Bharat Express between Varanasi and Khajuraho on Friday night. Additionally, the official operation of train number 26504 or 03, the Lucknow-Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express, and train number 26462 or 61, the Firozpur-Delhi Vande Bharat Express, was also announced.

Significantly, these trains will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Banaras (Manduadih) station. This will be the first time the Prime Minister will personally be present to gift a new train like the Vande Bharat to his parliamentary constituency. According to preliminary information, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Varanasi-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express from Banaras station at 7:25 pm on November 7.

From the same event, he will virtually inaugurate the Lucknow-Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express (26504 or 03) and the Firozpur-Delhi Vande Bharat Express (26462 or 61) using electronic equipment. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Railway Board Chairman Satish Kumar, and officials from Northern Railway and North Eastern Railway will also be present at the ceremony.

Timetable And Stoppages

According to the information, train number 26422, the Varanasi-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express, will depart from Varanasi Cantt Station at 5:25 am.It will arrive at Vindhyachal station at 6:55 am. It will pass through Prayagraj Chhioki at 8:00 am. It will arrive at Chitrakoot Dham at 10:05 am and at Banda station at 11:08 am. It will then arrive at Mahoba station at 12:08 pm and reach Khajuraho station at 1:10 pm.

In the return direction, train number 26421, the Khajuraho-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express, will depart from its originating station at 3:00 pm. It will stop at Mahoba station at 4:18 pm and will have a 2-minute halt at Banda station at 5:13 pm. It will arrive at Chitrakoot Dham station at 6:13 pm. En route, it will arrive at Prayagraj Chhioki station at 8:20 pm and Vindhyachal at 9:10 pm, before reaching Varanasi Cantt Station by 11:00 pm.
