To tackle serious incidents such as terrorist attacks in the district, the Ghaziabad Police Commissionerate has formed a Quick Response Team (QRT), ahead of Republic ay 2026. The general public will get a glimpse of this special force during the Republic Day parade at the Police Lines. This team will be the first to arrive on the scene in any emergency, taking control and ensuring effective action within the initial half-hour.
According to police officials, learning from incidents such as the terrorist attack in Delhi last year, the need for a strong and trained team in the district was recognised. With this in mind, a QRT of 51 personnel has been formed, with 17 police personnel selected from each of the three zones.

These personnel have received special training at the Central Detective Training Institute. The QRT members will be equipped with state-of-the-art weapons and other modern resources.
Upon receiving information about any suspicious or terrorist incident, the team will be dispatched immediately to control the situation. The objective is to ensure the safety of the general public and prevent significant damage. The strength, resources, firefighting capabilities, and security arrangements of the district police will be showcased at the Republic Day parade held at the Police Lines on Monday.
The chief guest for the event will be Sunil Sharma, MLA for Sahibabad and Minister for the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, and Science and Technology.
“The QRT will further strengthen the security arrangements in the district. The team's personnel have been trained on how to respond in the initial moments of an emergency,” said Alok Priyadarshi, Additional Commissioner of Police.
