A city that is both ancient and modern, Ayodhya continues its eternal journey through time. From its origins as the Vaikunth of Lord Vishnu, established by Swayambhu Manu, to its present-day revival.
Despite facing periods of decline, Ayodhya has always risen back to its spiritual and cultural peak, illuminated by its divine heritage. This timeless essence of Ayodhya will be celebrated at the 'Timeless Ayodhya' festival, set to take place in the historic courtyard of Raj Sadan.
The festival will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on March 21, marking the beginning of a grand re-reading of Ayodhya’s legacy. The preparations for the two day event have already filled the 50,000-square-foot courtyard of Rani Mahal with grandeur, where a beautifully decorated pandal sets the stage for the celebrations.
The festival, curated by Yatindra Mishra, a renowned literary scholar and cultural expert, will span eight to ten sessions exploring Ayodhya’s heritage. The inaugural session will highlight the glory of Ramnagari, with CM Yogi Adityanath being likened to Maharaja Vikramaditya, who revived Ayodhya in the Vikrami Samvat era.
